Ristar

In this quirky platform game, you play Ristar -- yes, he's a star, but a small, not-very-hot one -- who has awakened from a short nap (in star terms) only to find his solar system overrun by the forces of Greedy, an alien oppressor from deep space. True to his name, Greedy has corrupted the governors of each of Ristar's six planets and enslaved the helpless populace. The hero the solar system normally employs for crises like this is nowhere to be found, so it's up to Ristar to set things right.
